Recently, the 30000m ³ LNG full containment tank independently designed and constructed by Chongqing Endurance Energy Equipment Integration Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Endurance Energy"), a subsidiary of Endurance Group, was officially put into operation and loaded for liquid discharge. The completion and operation of this project marks Endurance Energy’s complete mastery of the design, manufacturing, and installation of LNG dual metal full containment tanks, making it one of the few suppliers in China that can provide a complete set of processes and equipment for LNG liquefaction plants, greatly enhancing Endurance Energy’s core competitiveness in the industry

It is understood that this project is located in the factory of Chongqing Xinyanghang Energy Co., Ltd., with an effective storage tank capacity of 30000m ³,it compared with domestic and foreign counterparts, this LNG dual metal full containment tank has better insulation performance, lower daily evaporation rate index, more reliable structural stability, higher blowing efficiency, and higher safety performance. Its comprehensive performance ranks among the top in the industry, and it is the largest capacity bimetallic full containment tank independently developed by enterprises in Chongqing.

Persist in independent research and development and overcome technical difficulties

The largest storage tank capacity within Chongqing city

Prior to this, due to the complex calculation structure and construction difficulty of LNG bimetallic fully inclusive storage tanks, no enterprise or institution within Chongqing could complete the design and construction of this large storage tank. In order to promote the healthy and rapid development of the LNG industry chain in Chongqing and even in China, in recent years, Endurance Energy has invested a lot of manpower, financial resources, and material resources, starting from design, materials, processing, welding, construction, commissioning, pre cooling and other aspects. Since the independent design and construction of the first 5000m ³ LNG bimetallic full containment tank in 2019, to the complete design, construction and operation of the 30000m ³ LNG full containment tank in this project, it has successfully mastered the LNG large volume storage technology, completed physical research and development, and now has the ability to develop corresponding tanks with a capacity of less than 50000m ³, filling the technical gap in the storage tank industry in Chongqing.

Advantages of Tank Technology

1. Seismic design: By integrating the national standard GB50011 with the American standards API650 and AP1620, the seismic vertical acceleration, horizontal acceleration, impact acceleration, and convective acceleration coefficients of the storage tank under 0BE, SSE, ALE, and other conditions are analyzed and calculated. This ensures the reliability of the storage tank under seismic conditions while minimizing the amount of construction consumables.

2. Pearlescent sand compression buffer design for inner tank cylinder: On the basis of ensuring insulation performance, the shrinkage of the main container cylinder caused by temperature alternation during the working cycle was analyzed. The thickness of the elastic felt on the outer wall of the main container cylinder and the thickness of the expanded perlite filled in the annular space between the main container cylinder and the secondary container cylinder were redistributed to achieve the optimal ratio of insulation performance and construction cost.

3. Double layer metal wall thermal angle protection structure: Adjust the right angle connection between the angle protection cylinder and the angle protection bottom plate to be connected through an arc-shaped transition plate, and increase the distance between the angle protection bottom plate and the secondary container cylinder. And a certain thickness of overlapping insulation board is installed at the lower part of the inner wall of the secondary container, greatly improving the structural stability and insulation of the thermal angle protection, effectively solving the problem of cold leakage and frosting on the outer wall of the storage tank.

4. The nitrogen blowing system for bimetallic full containment tanks includes a main container blowing structure, a sandwich blowing structure, and a bottom insulation layer blowing structure. The main container blowing structure shares the main container blowing inlet pipeline with the sandwich blowing structure. The bottom insulation layer blowing structure includes a bottom insulation layer blowing inlet pipeline, a bottom insulation layer blowing pipeline, and a bottom insulation layer blowing outlet pipeline. The outlet end of the bottom insulation layer blowing inlet pipeline is connected to the bottom insulation layer blowing pipeline. The bottom insulation layer blowing pipeline has several outlet holes that can blow the main container and the bottom insulation layer separately, greatly improving the efficiency of tank blowing and replacement, while saving the amount of blowing nitrogen gas and further optimizing construction costs.

It is reported that the successful development of the 30000m ³ LNG bimetallic fully inclusive storage tank not only fills the research and application gap in Chongqing, effectively enhances the influence of Endurance Energy in the low-temperature field at home and abroad, but also effectively promotes the development of equipment manufacturing industry in Chongqing and even China, and to a greater extent meets the demand for LNG clean energy in the local surrounding markets of customers. It conforms to the national energy development strategy of developing low-carbon green economy, energy conservation and emission reduction, and achieving sustainable development, and has significant social benefits.
